These images were taken along the North shore of Fuerteventura.

Large Atlantic swells arrive from September untill April, and when I have spare time I am out shooting the action.

My favourite location for close up shots is at Generosa, where sometimes it is possible to look down the wave.

The island of Lobos has some of the best waves in Europe, and I am hoping to shoot some action from a boat this Winter.

El Cotillo is on the North West coast of Fuerteventura, and is literally a 15 minute drive from Corralejo.

To the North of the village are the magnificent lagoons with whitewashed beaches and safe bathing for all.

The village consists of old fishermans houses, with cafes, restaurants and bars.

To the South of the village lies a golden sandy beach, which is a haven for surfers, windsurfers and kiteboarders.

Finally Time for a Website update.

I have just gotten back from a month of Snowkiting in Norway followed by 2 weeks in the US.

News: I have joined the Flyboards team and will be Riding the Flyradicals and Flydoors from now on. The Flyradical M is one of the best boards I have ever tried and was convinced as soon as I tried it. So Happy to have these now. What that means is that Kalima Kiteboarding will not be producing boards anymore. I decided that it was too much work for too little money to keep it going. The current economy does not look so good, so it was time to put that to rest.

The season on Fuerte is looking good, Winds have been blowing and it’s so good to be home.

I am working on some new Videos and on some new ideas for Kites for Peter Lynn. I am also training hard for the upcoming Race season.

Kite Boarding

Flag Beach, just on the outskirts of Corralejo, is a mecca for kiteboarding ... and set on one of the world's best beaches!

With constant N or NNE winds, the wind blows across from the left of the beach for perfect conditions.

The best time to Kite ... March/April untill early August.

Football: UD Fuerteventura

Football has been a long time favourite sport of mine and although I no longer play the game, I regularly cheer on the local team.

UD Fuerteventura play in divisiion 2B of the national Spanish league, and the technical quality of the players is superb.

Last season, the team narrowly missed promotion to a higher division, only loosing in the play-off stages.

BIG Game Fishing aboard the Sina Maria III

I recently accepted a generous offer from Chris to go aboard the Sina Maria III for spot of BIG game fishing.

The day started off at 8am with the ocean like glass, and we headed off from Corralejo harbour to the east side of Lobos Island.

An anchored stop of around 45 minutes catching live bait for the big ones, and then off to the north of Lobos for the BIG fish.

Corralejo Carnival 2008

The 2008 Carnival in Corralejo was from 28th Feburary to 9th March with the theme "Under the Sea" (Bajo el Mar). The procession is normally held on the last day.
